For several months we have been witnessing a continuous rise in the cost of raw materials which has affected the prices of electricity, oil and gas. Despite the hope for a reversal of the trend, the phenomenon, which affects all of Europe and in part non-European countries, shows no signs of stopping. Industry analysts and technicians believe that the reasons for the increase do not depend on demand, but rather on geopolitical and speculative issues concerning hoarding policies and CO2 emission rights.Even the Fonderia di Castenedolo, like many other companies in the sector, has suffered from these increases and we hope the situation to be restored thanks to cost containment measures.
