The consequences of Covid have not been solely economic: they have also led to radical changes in how companies are managed. The Italian foundry industry was not exempt from the disruption, feeling its effects in financial and production terms, as well as in business and work- place management-related areas. As for the current situation, which has improved since the mass vaccination campaign began in March, 2021, the regulatory guidance issued by the health authorities has not changed, workers’ safety will continue to be a priority in managing work and the technical and production-related choices that foundries make.
